The Global Health Forum 2027 will take place at LMU Munich from 16 to 18 March 2027, together with the CIH Symposium and the Annual Student Research Conference.
The conference is organized by the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) and will bring together scientists from European universities and beyond to foster dialogue, collaboration, and interdisciplinary approaches to global health.
The programme will focus on the following tracks:

Sustainability & Biodiversity - Secure Societies: Preparedness for Shocks and Crises

Digital Health, AI & Medical Technology - Annual Student Research Conference
Global Health research of Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students - CIH Symposium
We invite you to contribute to the programme with a poster, oral presentation (10 min), or workshop (60 or 90 min) – in English.

3. Global Health Day 2026
Global Health for Sustainability!
On March 19−20, 2026 the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU) hosted the third Global Health Day in collaboration with the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH).
Participation
More than 230 participants from over 30 institutions and universities followed this year’s invitation to the third Global Health Day 2026 at LMU Munich. Over 85 researchers contributed to a vibrant and engaging programme for fellow researchers, students, and everyone interested in the topic “Global Health for Sustainability.”
Workshops and Talks
Inspiring talks highlighted key aspects of sustainability in research, healthcare, education, and participation. Fifteen interactive workshops explored topics such as resilience, society and community, and communication, while also critically reflecting on research practices and their sustainability.
Opening, Key Note and Panel Discussion
The conference was opened by Prof. Francesca Biagini, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity at LMU, and Prof. Ralf Ludwig, Chief Sustainability Officer at LMU.
An inspiring keynote was delivered by Prof. György Málovics, Professor at the University of Szeged, focusing on global health and economics in the context of sustainability.
The conference concluded with a dynamic panel discussion featuring experts from diverse fields of global health, including Prof. Annette Peters, Helmholtz Munich; Gabriele Koehler, United Nations Research Institute for Social Development; and Prof. Vesna Tepavčević, University of Novi Sad.
PhD/MSc-Symposium
Following the Global Health Day, participants continued the exchange at the MSc/PhD-Symposium, organized by CIHLMU students, on the topic “Building Resilient Futures” featuring talks on the One Health approach in an era of financial and geopolitical shifts.
